RETURN TO SPORT

What is chiropractic care? Chiropractic care is an all natural, holistic form of treatment. We are confident to deliver safe, gentle chiropractic care to men, women and children of all ages. After making a diagnosis, we treat pain by healing the source, rather than masking the pain. Compared to medications, chiropractic care is safe and free of negative side effects.

Return to Play

These programs are designed for the athlete post-injury that is ready to begin sport specific training in the process of returning to full play. Each athlete is assessed and works directly with a certified athletic trainer in sport specific gradual progress of strength, agility, flexibility, and speed training. For athletes who have suffered a concussion, the athlete will begin a graduated individualized return-to-play protocol supervised by a licensed athletic trainer.

Concussion Screening:

To accurately diagnose a concussion, it helps to have measurements of the brain’s activity both before and after it has sustained injury. We provide both pre-season and post-concussion testing through a computerized diagnostic tool called Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing (ImPACT™).

Functional Movement Screen (FMS):

A pre-participation screening tool designed to identify weakness. These findings have a direct correlation with increased injury risk and inefficient movement patterns that causes reduced performance.

ACL Prevention:

ACL injuries are common in sports that involve sudden changes of direction, such as football, and soccer. Most are non-contact injuries that occur during sudden twisting motion (for example, when the feet are planted one way and the knees are turned another way) or when landing from a jump. Having adequate strength in your hips and thighs is key to providing support for your knees and preventing ACL injuries. Specific strengthening techniques are imperative to reduce the risk of knee injury.
